CNR uses a contract based on “end goals” that define the outcome of the project. When working with a contractor, the company focuses on aligning values and ambition around continuous improvement. The company created an integrated team for drilling and P&A composed of representatives of each contractor, and it rewarded the contractors with continuity across projects. CNR also facilitated cross- training of personnel from the multiple contractors, enabling it to form a small integrated team.
